Jamaal A. Castang, Esq. is a native of the Hampton Roads by way of Harlem, New York. The Law Offices of Jamaal A. Castang, PLLC is located in Alexandria, Virginia where Jamaal provides legal advice to clients on various areas throughout the entertainment industry, such as music, television, film, fashion, and social media influencing. He has negotiated and structured some of the most innovative and forward- thinking transactions in entertainment, media, and social media on behalf of his clients, who include
Grammy Award winning music producers, major recording artists, social media influencers, acclaimed fashion designers, and television and film producers.

Prior to founding The Law Offices of Jamaal A. Castang, PLLC, Jamaal started his tenure in the entertainment industry as a Billboard Charted music producer in the production team the
PROFOUNDSOUNDS from Virginia Beach, Virginia. His passion for entertainment law and creating music developed at a young age growing up around the music industry being the nephew of legendary R&B singer/songwriter Keith Sweat and legendary Gospel singer/producer John P. Kee while being inspired by
Johnnie Cochran. Jamaal would merge both interests when he realized his ability to be the conduit between representation and talent when sharing legal knowledge with his peers that he gained in law school while attaining his second Billboard placement. Jamaal has the unique and uncanny ability to connect with the client since he is a current professional songwriter and music producer. His experience as a Billboard Charted music producer in the music industry allows him to meet the needs of his clients on the talent side and allows the clients within any industry to feel heard, respected, and protected. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Norfolk State University and J.D. from University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law and visited at Howard University School of Law. He is admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
